Creativity and critical thinking in the age of AI Teaching resources

התחלתי לחקור ולכתוב סיפורי טבע, כשעבדתי במוזיאון האדם והחי. התלמידים אהבו את עזרי הלמידה שיצרתי. אמי הציעה שאלמד ציור, כדי שאוכל להכין להם דפי צביעה. גל של ציור הציף אותי לכמה שנים. השיא היה הצגת ציוריי בסלון החורף בפריז. זאת אחרי שנים שהתעקשתי שאינני יכולה לצייר. כנראה מישהו העיר על ציור שלי כאשר הייתי ילדה. לכל אחד מאיתנו יש סיפור כזה. מה אם זה היה קורה למיכלאנג'לו, והוא היה מפסיק לצייר ולפסל?
כשעבדתי במכון אריקה לנדאו לקידום נוער למצוינות וליצירתיות, מנהיגת חינוך המחוננים הציעה שאוסיף מדע למשאבי הלמידה מבוססי הטבע והאמנות שלי. בארוחה המשפחתית הבאה, ישבתי על המרפסת של אמי עם דודי דר' משה רשפון, שהקים את גן המדע ואת יחידת נוער שוחר מדע במכון ויצמן. זוהי תוכנית חלוצית בחינוך מדעי ומנהיגה עולמית בתחום.
שאלתי את מנהיג החינוך, המוערך בקרב בוגרי עשרות שנים שהפכו למנהיגים בעצמם: מה הוא רואה בציוריי? עולם חדש נגלה בפני. ציורי הטווס שלי, למשל, מעלים נושאים של סימטריה וצבעוניות מבנית. התחלתי לחקור את המדע שמאחורי הספרות והאמנות שלי, ביחוד בקריאת ספריו המרתקים של זוכה פרס נובל ריצ'ארד פיינמן.
העמקתי בחקר היצירתיות, גם כחלק מצוות מנהיגי האגודה לחינוך ליצירתיות. במשך 4 שנים הנחיתי סדנאות בכנס פתרון הבעיות היצירתי שלהם, באוניברסיטות באפלו, ניו יורק. כך, מיטבתי סדנא טרנספורמטיבית להעצמת מורים לטיפוח פתרון בעיות יצירתי, חשיבה ביקורתית ויצירתית, שיתוןף פעולה ותקשורת בינאישית, החשובים ביחוד בעידן הבינה המלאכותית.
היה לי הכבוד להציג בועידת החינוך העולמית 2024, עם מנהיגי חינוך מרחבי העולם. הצגתי את ספר המורים שלי מיכלאנג'לו במאה ה-21, ואת מודל גלגל היצירתיות, המבסס שפה משותפת בין קובעי מדיניות, מפקחות.ים, מנהלות.ים, מורות.ים, אמהות ואבות, לקראת טיפוח חשיבה ביקורתית ויצירתית.
יש לי הכבוד להיות חברה מייסדת בתנועת האינטליגנציה האנושית שבסיסה בארה"ב, ושמטרתה טיפוח המיומנויות היצירתיות למינוף השימוש בבינה מלאכותית. כבוד גדול היה גם לקבל את פרס הצטיינות הדיקן בתואר שני במנהיגות, מדיניות ומנהל חינוך פעמיים (ציון בחינה סופית 99!!).
החזון שלי הוא שבעידן השימוש המואץ בבינה מלאכותית, הילדים שלנו, שהם הדור שיושפע מכך הכי הרבה, יקבלו כלים אפקטיביים לפתרון בעיות יצירתי. לפיכך, אני מציעה תוכנית הוליסטית לעידוד חקר וחדשנות בכיתה: ספרים, כליי הוראה-למידה, והתפתחות מקצועית מרעננת.

The Thinking Together-Creating Future Program
To promote the competencies listed above in AI times, Raising Creative Thinkers offers student and educator books, teaching tools, and professional development online workshops, which together provide a holistic program:
1. Books - Our books ignite exploration by stories, poems, art, science, nature and environment, thus implementing an inter-disciplinary approach. The books are based on the 5 Es strategy, by which students practice Creative Problem-Solving skills. We offer a unique Creative Problem-Solving student book, starting early as elementary school. Knowing that to stimulate such learning, we first need to establish a safe environment, Michelle Korenfeld offers the Anti-Bullying STEAM Curriculum, to build a pro-social community of learners. For educators we provide a practical teaching inspiration book, a guidebook and an inspiring book to revive creativity, and to learn to identify the educator's and the students' individual creative potential, outlining a plan to toward fulfillment.
2. Teaching tools - Our Teachers Pay Teachers store offers PBL (Project Based Learning) implementation tools for k12, and tools to establish a safe environment supporting creativity. The store will soon offer formative assessment tools, for students to track their creative learning autonomously toward educational products. Several tools are elaborated upon in Michelle Korenfeld's teacher book, Michelangelo in the 21st Century.
3. Professional development - Transformational enriching workshops using Michelle Korenfeld's paintings to ignite creativity, together with practice-based weaved with the research-based guidance. The teachers gain a holistic view of teaching critical and creative thinking in AI times, professional creativity and efficacy. They enjoy curiosity and intrinsic motivation themselves, to ignite students. They practice Creative Problem Solving, and learn to direct students to use AI toward leveraging their own thinking, and to critically assess information, constructing learning toward achievement.
